Re: 1957 35 h.p. larks
New update. Started to tear down the parts only Lark, for parts of course. Found a mouse condo in the top cylinder, thats why it was siezed. The good news is that the piston is stuck at b.d.c. and the cylinder walls cleaned right up, surface rust only, no pitting. Got it soaking in 3 in 1 for now. When I pulled the fly wheel I discovered all new ignition components, the coils still have the paint on the inductive pick-ups. The woodruff key looks to be new also. The reed valves look to have been replaced, too. Sooo... Probably going to make it my winter project and restore it also. My dilemma is that I need the medallions, 1 piece of the chrome, and lettering for the cowling. Considered turning it into a Big Twin, then I would only need paint and decals. Any opinions and suggestion wil surely be appreciated.
