Apparently, I am a bad guy for saying "NY sucks", and "I hate the city", I do hate the city, and I love the country, it's just me. My NY sucks reference was to the team, you know, good natured ribbing that most of us sports fan partake in.

I know this will get me smitten, although there are no rules I have seen that say anything about bashing sports teams, or cities, or admitted steroid users.

You guys that know me know how to get a hold of me. Even being banned, if I need to read something here I certainly will.

I really enjoy 99% of the banter here, sorry if I offended some so much that I need to be harangued for every move I make.

I am country type as well. I live near the HUGE metropolis if Savannah, and do not really like going into that city...

I have bashed my own hometown, Baltimore, many times, and my team.

I shouldn't have started this thread BUT what's the point of me being here if at every turn I'm going to be scolded? Hell, I didn't mean to pee in anyone's Wheaties, I just like to joke around. I forget that many people don't like joking around.

I thought I was abiding by the rules, but when the rules are "hazy" it's hard for those of us that went to public school o figure out.

skargo, what you said over on the locked baseball thread wouldn't get you banned, but open criticism of the moderation of the forum might. That's a real no-no. Just be patient. Emzobee is just feeling his moderatin' oats. He'll calm down in a bit. TD went throught the same thing. He still occasionally gets ahold of a cup that's not decaf.

They dont call it the greatest city in the world for nothing, just keep your wallet in your front pocket. LOL, Its all in good fun. I am about 45 minutes east of the city and sometimes it is great and other times it sucks, I guess thats just life. Go yanks

I'm with all above. I'm beginning to find all population centers are a negative in nearly every aspect. I am taking steps to move to the country in order to return to a more neutral footprint and provide more than I take away, which hasn't been the case for a long time living in towns and cities.

To paraphrase (butcher) something JB once wrote: "Even the most docile of creatures will turn from cooperative to competitive when the populations grows and space does not."

As for sports, well, my take is when people partake in something which encourages competition where none existed, they get the outcome they expected.
