Re: NFL Championship Games Picks
To me, the outcome of the Saints/Vikings matchup is hard to predict. Both teams have shown that they can "get it done," and both have shown that they can be beat. I don't really follow the Vikes all that closely, so I can't offer thoughts about specific players, but I will say that the issue of individual players has proven to be a big factor with the Saints.
Aside from the Carolina/Saints game that Sean Payton pretty much gave away for strategic reasons, we have seen what happens when the Saints don't have all of the "A" guys on the field. This week, Jeremy Shocky and Darren Sharper are in question, due to injuries. My guess is that both will play, but if they don't, the balance of the game could be altered significantly.
Obviously, I would like to see the Saints go to the SB and I'd like to see them win it, even more. That said, I'm happy with the performance of the team, as it is right now. The Saints have far exceeded anything that we have ever seen from them at any point in the history of the team. They won three of four pre-season games, thirteen of sixteen regular season games and have now won a playoff game. If you want to count all of the games, that makes them 17 -4, which is pretty damn good!
Best wishes to all of the Vikes fans - "see you" around the tube Sunday evening!
