LOL, get over it, Favre is a washed up fool.

Have to disagree, since Farve outperformed most of the QB's in the league this year and made the probowl.

Despite the turnovers the Vikings had a chance to win it and didn't. The fact that this argument continues, not only here but on other venues, helps me get over what was a tough loss to a very good opponent.

Saints put together a great season and came out on top of the NFC.

Congrats to them and their fans. It's been a long time comin'.

The last 2 NFC championship games Favre was in, ended the same, by a bonehead decision on his part. He, IMO, is selfish, and tries to do way too much, instead of relying on his team.

He did have an EXCELLENT year this year though!

I don't wan't to disrepsect Farve. I'm not sure that I agree with all of his indecision about retiring, but that doesn't take away from a long and distinguised career in the NFL.

As for the Vikes/Saints game, no the Vikings did not gve it away. They fought very hard against an offense that stomped the likes of New England and Arizona. On the flip side, the Vikings failed to keep New Orleans from scoring and they failed to put up more points, in spite of the fact that they had the ball for the lion's share of the game. The Saints outplayed the Vikings - that's the deal and y'all can whine and quote stats all you want. The game is over.

I'm going to make this my last post on the topic, because quite frankly, I'll probably ticks the mods off if I comment again.

WHO DAT?!!!

Fumbles are part of the game. If you can't hold onto the ball you aren't going to win. Last time I checked the score was 31-28 Saints win. Vikings LOST. Yes, THEY LOST. The SAINTS beat the VIKINGS.

Go cry in someone elses soup. I've really lost respect for Vikings fans if they act like this when they lose. You haven't seen Saints fans do that at all, have you? And GOD only knows how many loses we've had in the past. If we win, we won. If we lose, we lost. We NEVER say whiny little things like, "Well, it was obvious who was the better team" as that's self explanatory. The team with the most points at the end of the game is the better team.

Quite frankly, people like that sound like my spoiled little cousin when she was about 5 and someone would beat her at checkers.

But at least they are consistant. That's what they said after the Steelers whipped them (because of turnovers) during the regular season. In that case, they were right, the Vikes were a better team than the Steelers, just not that day, though!

How dare you compare us vikes fans to your cousin like that.

I'm sure she's a better loser than us.

Why did you call itsaboattime Jethro, seems like a derogatory insult to me.

No worries......I've been called worse.

After rereading my post, I was a little hard on Farve. And I guess the Vikings. My apologies to any I may have offended.

They did play a good game.

The superbowl should be great!!

Itsaboattime I owe you an apology about the Jethro thing. One of the reasons I have stayed out of Dockside chat is it is too easy to argue about things. I watched the interview with Favre after the game and saw the war wounds from the game and watched the punishment he took in that game and he kept coming back in and then I read this post. I should have walked away but could not resist. I spent 18 years hating that guy and it took only 4 games for him to become a hero to me. If people think he is a dried up old fool let them think that. I think he could make a team like St Louis a contender for the Super Bowl. He sure did that with a few players on our team. I wish the Saints the best of wishes and I think this is going to be one of the better Super Bowls as far as talent goes.
