I have 1996 Dt 200 that is sounding overheat alarm at high rpms. It runs fine at or below 3500. When it overheats i have felt top of the motor one head is warm the other can't touch(too hot). Getting flow threw pee hole but looks week at high rpms. I also get a large amount of discharge of water out of the upper exhaust port(don't know if thats normal or not). I have replaced the water pump checked the thermostats(opening fine in hot water) and cleaned the oil flow sensor. Can anyone help not sure where to look next.

Re: Overheating DT200

At what temp are the thermostats opening and closing, and how far are they opening. There are specs in the manual for these things,
Did you replace just the impeller of the whole kit, how did the water pump housing look?

You may need to look for places the pump could suck air from. I have read corroded pieces below and around the pump will cause this problem
