Re: Info needed for vintage OMC OB

Does anyone have any information for an old OMC OB model #4099-0050? Thanks.

1935 Evinrude Lightwin 4.6hp. I'm having trouble distinguishing it from a 4097, same year. Anyhoo, a 4097 take 1/3 pint of oil per gallon of gas (24:1). Shear pin: Part number 132432 3/16" x 1-1/8" brass.

4097 & 4099: Both 1935, same horsepower, 2 cylinder, 2" bore x 1-5/8" stroke, 4.6hp # 3750 RPM, original spark plug M-5-J, 4097 weighs 40 lbx, 4099 weighs 38 lbs. Hm.m.m., different lower units?????

Awwwww shucks, you don't want to sell that. You want to restore it and make it all nice and shiny new.:D:D:D

If it's like any other old outboard, it may be worth around a couple hundred bucks in complete running and good original condition. Old outboards are only worth money, to the people who take pride and collect them.

HI
We were interested in the price for buying; not selling. It's been 'bought'. Thanks for the help.
