Thanks ez, ya I know he should have used epoxy but I'll keep it how it is until I have to change it. Just glad to know it won't wreck the boat!

Welcome Aboard..
Gotta say that was a bunch of tralier pics..lol

PM= Private Message

Right under where it says "WELCOME Colwllce"
it is underlined Private messages..

It is so you can basically send messages back and forth in private, without all our eyes reading it.

Hey in case anyone wants to know BM has cancelled the m22 line and has replaced it with p22 because of voc's. They have 4 base colors and said they make just about any color. Also said that it is not the right paint for a boat that will not be trailered. It's not to stay under the waterline that long. Something to remember straight from BM themselves.:)

Ahhhh...
The roll & roll method is/was my method of choice!
Using a foam roller, I applied my paint in even coats..
The roll & tip method is where you roll, and you (or a helper) immediatley and lightly feathers out the paint to pop any bubbles or orange peel..

My avatar pic was done in the roll & roll method..

Re: my first starcraft 160 super sport

I seeeee. I ask because I'm about to prep my boat and possibly my trailer for paint. Just bought the primer for aluminum or galvanized which is good for both trailer and boat. I have to put quite a few parts on the wire wheel yet. Still moving slow and undecided about a few things like colors and if I want to paint my trailer. I have some rust stains on my trailer and would probably not paint it if I could get them out. I tried a few things but no luck yet. My floatation that was in the boat seems to be starting to dry, can it be reused

Re: my first starcraft 160 super sport

ddrieck, thanks I might need u but i talked to the guy i bought the boat from and he said he could get me one from the guy he stored the boat with. So I'm crossing my fingers on that one. I hear it's a hard part to find. Does everyone rip this piece off their boat????

ddrieck, I might take u up on that but I'm waiting for the previous owner to get back to me. He said he'd be able to get me one with some other things he found for the boat. But thanks!

I wouldn't reuse the flotation. Most of us go with the pink or blue closed cell insulation available at Lowes, HD. Some go with the closed cell flotation pool noodles and one person went with the pipe insulation of a similar material.

What you want is something that will not soak up water and not interact with aluminum.

thanks for the tip BB, I was hoping to save money there but what u said makes sense. I think I'll go with the pool noodles if I can get them cheap enough.
We'll everybody nothing major going on here, just bought a wire wheel for my bench grinder and I'm really turning rusty metal into shiny new orrah at least close. Bought some nuts and bolts I broke taking them off with the impact wrench. I'll put in some pics tomorrow. I'm in need of a shower and some rest.
