1. Filled the barrel w/ water. The old 40 HP started in 3 secs and pumped water well. Ran fine for 20 minutes. Checked and made sure it was running on both cylinders. Yeah!
2. Needed to change the impeller on the 3 HP. Had it done in 30 minutes. No broken bolts! The lower end came off easily. The water tube lined up the first time! Started on the second pull! Head was cool when running! I was on a roll.....
3. Went over to the neighbor (the carpenter) for some wood for the boat. He had some mahogany left over from a job that was Whaler perfect! We cut that out and routed it, then he said "while you're at it..." and brought out a chain saw that didn't run.
A nice, clean, once-used Poulan that had set for a year. Opened the gas cap, and it was total crud inside. A lot of cleaner, Sea Foam, new gas (gave him some Sta-Bil this time) and compressed air through the lines and Presto! It fired right up! He sawed some logs and it didn't skip a beat....

It was a good motor day.......just gotta change the LU lube and I'm set to go!

I hope so. But ya know sometimes the good days are followed by the "had a flat-lost the cooler lid- broke the pole-fell out of the boat" days. I hope the good luck holds out.
