I see Vintage Outboard has a carb kit for a Johnson TD/TN motors. The carbs on those are similar to your LT and should help. You may also have to thoroughly clean your float and reseal it with either cyanacrylate (Super Glue) or a fuel proof dope used on model airplanes. Or you can by a Mercury float and retrofit it. Easy fix.

The carbs are kind of weird but not hard to work on. My son rebuilt a Johnson TD carb at the age of 12. The carb actually contains the primer and high speed circuits. Low speed is a rotary valve mixer deal directly behind the gas tank.

You can get more help from the experts here as well:

Leather primer seals are also available from a AOMCI member.

Good luck and have fun! :)

You may want to change the pump rotor on the light twin. I did a Johnson JW (same motor) and they're easy. Parts available through BRP or Sierra Marine (NAPA). You can borrow a manual from the library to help you out.
