I just went and picked up our lunch. Our shop is in Havre de Grace MD, which is on the water. Of course I meander down to the local ramp to gaze at the water. I watch a couple guys launch their boat on this beautiful, 70 degree day.
I need to do a few things to my boat, but am very tempted to go out this weekend. Dang it, I have Spring fever BAD!:(

The Ohio River was looking good last week.... and now its going to flood stage! Oh well... Patoka Lake isn't that far away, I guess we'll start the season there in a couple weeks.

Winter depression is almost over! :)

Re: Depressed

Buddy you have my sympathy. Today was a beautiful day here in central MO. 65 degrees and sunny. My son and I went out to a small lake we frequent and he caught 5 nice crappie and one small, large mouth bass. Ole dad here got skunked but still had a great time being out there. Hang in there buddy I know how you feel (I spent about 4 months here lookin' at snow and cold). The weather will get right for you before too long. Oh yeah, our weather forecast is predicting SNOW for this weekend so I may be back at the depression myself. God Bless. Dave

Re: Depressed

This is the best time of the year, the entire season is about to begin, and all the fun is still ahead.
Once I put the boat in the water, then I'm getting depressed every next day, knowing that end of season is coming, and the time will come to take the boat out of the water and winterize it.

Re: Depressed

Let's just say the items on the left-to-do list for my boat project are now being prioritized by "needed to be done to use the boat" and "not".

We are going on Saturday to pick up the 14' tinny my dad bought last fall from storage. So at least I'll have that to use should the mood strike me. My 4HP Evinrude Deluxe hasn't been started in probably 2 years. Hoping it's still kickin'.

Yeah, I already pushed off my teak work to next winter. I should have the boat ready to roll Saturday, maybe I'll bring her along Sunday :D

Yeah,

I've had to close the blinds in my office just to cope. To much to get done on the boat plus nice weather has me going nuts!!

It's 70 and sunny here and while at work I keep seeing boats going by on their way to one of the nearby lakes. :(

Winter is not over yet, forecast for sunday is a high of 44 and windy.

One mans motorcycle is another mans GTO. Had it out this past week. This was the earliest on the road ever. Still lots of hard water. Don't have to look at the boat for awhile yet. Snow's gone! Go figure.... There is a light at the end of the tunnel....:D
