It is best to post the model number for your motor as the gang here gets cranky when you don't. Perhaps it's time for thermostat change along with water pump and poppet valve inspection. Not hard to do and lots of info on this forum to help you along.

do you have digital guages?
have you inspected the engine oil tank while the problem is active?

What should be the normal temperature range while running? I flushed the engine today with a product that clean salt deposit and removed the thermostat to see what happen:cool:

I believe that motor has more than one thermostat and it is a bad idea to remove them and run the motor. It will not allow the proper circulation of the cooling water. Your service manual gives all the specs. You can pull them and test ,but you need to put back in ones that function properly.

If you do not answer questions asked you may not get many responses

Yes,i removed both .I just trying to find the problem of the temperature warning.I bought two news to put it back. The oil pump is working properlly. Do you think is a clog in the water cooling system?

Like Rodbolt said how do you know it is the temp.
How did you test the oil alarm part of the system?

The sign appears over the temperature warning on the panel control.I checked the oil pump because i clean the reservoir and was completely empty and when i turned on the key the pump filled it up .

Re: yamaha 130hp 2 stroke temperature warning beeping

then simply answer questions.
you say its a 1997, your model number indicates its a 1998 production run. it also tells me it left japan as an oil injected model.
do you have a digital tachometer ? note the question mark?
unlike other brands yamaha uses the same tone for all alarms.
thats when you look at the tach for a visual indicate for oil or over temp.
its very possible to have a clogged remote oil tank filter and get your symptoms.

There is an arrow over the thermometer in the tach. The oil tank is clean. The mix system is working as it came from Japan.

Dylan, at 9 posts your obviously relitively new here. Rodbolt is our resident Yamaha tech, and 1 of very very very few Master tech's here is the US. Rodbolt is going to ask you alot of questions that are "yes" or "no" questions only. If you can answer them yes or no he or I or anybody else here will help you. But we don't need useless information, we need yes's and no's to help you out. If you don't know, then pictures are worth 1000 words here.

Welcome to Iboats :)

Re: yamaha 130hp 2 stroke temperature warning beeping

ok, but look at the times of our last post, you were posting as I was typing.
but now we know its an overheat warning.
if this is a salt water use motor and after changing the water pump and t stats the problem still exists above 4000 RPM then you will most likly have to remove the cyl heads and the head water cover jackets and manually scrape the cooling water surfaces.
just did one last week.
it happens.
not a hard job but one that has to be done occasionally.
