so ten bucks for one gas tank turned into 15 bucks for 3. I am totally ok with that deal I would say.

Is there anyway you could snap some close ups how you have your throttle and shift cable hooked up?

I have the ends that go to the Throttle and shifter .Im looking for the clips that bolt to the motor and dont allow the cable to slide back and forth.

ok so the screw driver is for illustrative purposes because I have not reconnected the motor, its still on the stand. but you start with the cable vertically, then rotate it horizontally to lock it in.

very good. Im doing a little trailer re wiring and painting which has my motor on hold because well its alot easier to take the boat off the trailer without the motor. But I will get back to it, I have the day off so trailer, then motor generator testing is my plan. But you know what they say about the best laid plans.

Ok.

I have replaced the points (.02) gap. I replaced the condensers and the coils. as well as the 5 term ignition. I can't get this dog to kick over for me. It had in the past for a little while but now nothing. The other thing would be that the ignition will not turn the electric start on. I have checked my connections and they are all correct. I ve even checked to all the lines for cracks or anything else. no luck. can some on give me direction. Help lol lol ..

Re: 35 HP Gale WOT 7MPH???

Thank you for the info. I changed out all electrical under flywheel!. It was back firing but i made a better adjustment to the gaps and that seems to be gone. i hope. I am having a problem with the ignition. I can get it to start by the key. I can kill it by the key but not start. I have checked for continuity of the two blacks and white. I changed out the ss. I checked the murc switch. I don't know at this point. I know the ignition is correct.

thanks
