Yesterday,
Took my son out out to tour our lake. We had a great time and saw a bunch of wildlife and sites.
On the way back the lake was calm as glass so I opened up the motor (20H Yamaha) and for some reason we hit a wake that was not visible from before. There was some cavitation in the prop and the boat lurched forward.
I, my son and the boat contents were launched into the lake. The lanyard did its job and the were were OK.
I will always wear it now that I see how important it is, especially with the inflatable.
