For a typical outboard with carry-on gas tanks
50:1 is 15.36 ounces of oil (1/2 quart give or take) to six gallons of gas.
6 gallons x 128 ounces per gallon = 768 oz gas; 768/50 = 15.36
In your case you're close, 16 gallons is 2,048 ounces divided by 50 is 40.96 ounces of oil to get 50:1
"Double Oil" would therefore be much more than you added, that is 81.92 ounces oil to the 16 gallons...
