I agree fresh plugs after that ratio of oil should liven it up....

Moved this over to the Johnny-Rude section. Good luck!

It should not have been bogging down even during the break in with 25:1 fuel mix.

Check that your timing is advancing correctly and that all carb butterfly valves are opening in synch.

You can run a compression test right now and look for even compression. Don't be surprised if it doesn't read very high as it can take 20hrs or more before compression comes up as the rings set.

I thought the heads are supposed to be re-torqued during the breakin phase.

For a typical outboard with carry-on gas tanks

50:1 is 15.36 ounces of oil (1/2 quart give or take) to six gallons of gas.

6 gallons x 128 ounces per gallon = 768 oz gas; 768/50 = 15.36

In your case you're close, 16 gallons is 2,048 ounces divided by 50 is 40.96 ounces of oil to get 50:1

"Double Oil" would therefore be much more than you added, that is 81.92 ounces oil to the 16 gallons...

Guys thanks for your help, never would have thought, but found pinched fuel line on the fuel pump, when the clamp was tightened it was'nt all the way in place and pinched the line almost shut.
