Re: paint

I am also busy repainting my Picton Sprint Glassfibre speedboat.I have found a good two part poly made by Jotun.

The primer is called Penguard HB and the topcoat is Hardtop XP.

Re: paint

All I can tell you is there are guys on here who have painted their boats with rustoleum and it has lasted for years. It is NOT recommended for boats that are Kept in the lake for long periods of time but if you launch at day break and take her out the next morning the paint will still be there.:D

Re: paint

Rustoleum is great for trailer boats. I just painted my boat with Easypoxy and it is horrible horrible paint. Horrible.

Why use the power sprayer? I haven't done it, but have read that outside of a professional spray job, you can the best finish with the roll and tip method. That is what I was planning to do with my 86 Sea Ray.

Rustoleum is Great! I have done a few boats with it, and they have all turned out nice.
