You didnt say if it will be used while fishing ( trolling ) or sitting still...... but in both cases I see a lot of people using a product called sport brella from walmart seem to work well and the good thing is it is a multi use item, can easily be taken to the beach.....Have also seen people using a 6' umbrella with a c-clamp to mount to boat...........

That's weird, they never come up on craiglist near me.

I bought one for my 17' Four Winns from Ebay. It's actually pretty decent quality for the $$. I think I paid $100 shipped and it came with the frame, canvas, rear support poles (radar arch style), straps and a storage boot.
It's no sunbrella, but it's held up great so far up to speeds of 45 mph.

I picked one up thru cabela's a number of years back for only 100, it was a two bow bimini, had it for 3 yrs without any issues. It was gray canvass but worked great.

Search on Amazon - the first or second bit should be a 6' top sold by choice products for 100 bucks. I bought this and have been VERY impressed with the quality, especially for the price. Definitely recommend.
