Hi Folks!

I was lucky to stumble into this nice little Johnson Sea Horse over the weekend. The auctioneer said it is a 1956 model, but that may or may not be accurate. I haven't been able to spot a spec plate.

Anyone know what model this might be? And a source for the damaged tiller grip?

Thanks!
Dave

have a look on the engine block, tiller side towards the rear, the model # is stamped into the block ie...no tag. once you determine the model, nymarine should have the tiller grip and maybe some other odd n ends.

Yup. I was looking for a separate spec plate. It is indeed a TN28, and it appears to be all original. Thanks to all! One more question ... How does the neutral mechanism work? Thanks again! Dave

Tim, the spring is meant to absorb some of the vibration while underway to ease discomfort in your hand.

Neutral clutch simply disengages drive. Let me see if I can find some pics of it apart, and parts diagram, to show you.

No Title

That is a very good looking motor for it's age.
Good Luck with Your motor.

Supposedly, it's in running condition. I hope to test it this weekend. Stay tuned.

I've been having all sorts of trouble attaching photos. Let me try again ...
