steering cable what to buy?

1987 searay I/O steering cable is frozen need to be replaced what should I get, single rack or rotary system?

If you can find a straight rack, get that. (and post the link here)

Exactly where is if frozen. If in the guide tube and you cant release it you`ll need a new guide tube

You're probably best to replace with what's already there- if you currently have rotary steering, replace it with a rotary helm&cable, if you currently have a rack system, replace it with the same. Teleflex is the most common name in steering systems, (and is available at iboats) so why not go with the leader? If you have power assist steering, you can use either Safe-T QC rotary or "the Rack". If you don't have power assist, you should get either a rotary or rack NFB (non feed-back) helm and cable.

Ayuh,..... So which helm is there Now,..??

Which ever it is, the odds are, the Other won't fit in the space available,.....
