Hate to do this to you frozen fellas in case you already saw this pic on my SN thread.... but this was the big fish this morning out on the Columbia River. High 54 degrees and mostly sunny start of my 2015 fishing season. Can't wait to get the Chief out her slumber.

Nice catch H20. Glad someone found some soft water.

Yeah that's my resto/fishing buddy who smacked the big one today. The Columbia River never freezes over so even if it's a cold winter guys are out on it fishing steelhead or trout.

We got up to 44 today with 2.5" of rain! I was able to scrape the driveway finally after last Monday's ice storm.

Major tarp failure under 2-3" of ice

All of this is frozen into a 5x8 x1' chunk of ice inside the boat. Crap!

Yes just south of Nashville. I don't know why those bulbs are growing. The ground is frozen solid

Did y'all know a 2x6 could bend this much?

I just used a heat gun and melted the ice around the drain . Luckily it wasn't 100% frozen yet. Then I dropped the tarp and let the water flow out the back. I fished out hundreds of pounds if ice and tossed it over the side. Good thing PO didn't fill it with foam yet.

I feel for anyone that lives more than a few days in icy conditions. You folks have got to be really accustomed to it. Here in Texas we get 1 inch of ice and they close the schools and many business and WE ALL COMPLAIN ABOUT IT. We look to have to put up with it for several days this week and it sucks!!!! Sorry but if I wanted ice I would have moved to someplace that has it.

Being in TN our average high for today is 55 and average low 34. Highs this week.....30 yesterday, 36 today then 38, 38 and high Friday is 32. Lows 18-19

We are usually mowing grass by now and it is covered in ice and snow today

That all depends on what part of the state you're in. Up here in the northeast corner of the state the temps and snow fall is about normal. Doesn't mean I like it, but it's about normal.

Johnson City, Kingsport, Bristol, and Elizabethton where I live got 4-6 inches overnight. The high today is 30 with a low tonight of about 15. Come on spring I'm ready to thaw out.

Oh yeah, and we're supposed to get another 2-4 inches of snow tomorrow night. Yay!!

Dozer those warm temperatures are for glasser destruction, and big tin rescuing! Don't you have a road trip to make? I wouldn't be like waterman and waste my good weather on mere fishing when there is big tin work to be done!

Actually I would totally blow off work and anything else if I had warmer temps to do some fishing like waterman did.
