I feel like I should apologize to the guys I didn't vote for ... all of 'em are beautifully done. VERY tough choice.

Had a total vote of 59 last year, likely to top that this year.

Congrats to the nominees for driving a good turn out.. Thanks

I keep coming back here and looking at all the nominees and wanting to use my "Mod Powers" to make this poll open to multiple votes, because each and every one of the restos deserve a vote! They are all awesome and show great vision and craftmanship. Kudos to all the nominees. You are all winners regardless of the vote outcome.

It should have been private from the beginning. Purely an oversight. Better late than never.

Now it's a secret vote.:spy:
Statistical significance!!

Statistically speaking, a private poll will tend to draw in more votes vs an public vote due to possible controversy between any "friends"... plus we're trying to bring in more "outside" votes from long term loyal iboats members to keep everything as fair as possible for all involved.

Thanks everyone for your understanding.:)

no one voted for sig yet - someone has to for the speed in which that one was completed.

It kinda makes one wonder as to how one chooses which to vote for. Is it because of the speed of work, the particular model that they prefer, the originality in restoration, maybe restoring back to original factory or vintage look, or??? A lot of variables for sure.

The secret polling is good. I guess I never considered that it could cause controversy amongst iboat fiends by voting for one vs another but makes perfect sense.

Each boat is unique and an accomplishment each owner is certainly proud of!

I think sig did an outstanding job on the 16 flipper. It was redone in a very short time without sacrificing quality along the way. Each of the respective rebuilds demonstrates both a love for restoring these old tin boats as well as a determination to see the projects completed that all should recognize. I'm sure picking a boat out of the list of worthy candidates is a hard one. For those of us who have followed the progress of the rebuilds it is an even tougher task. Because we've experienced the tough times and setbacks as well as the successes and triumphs that lead to splash, we have the hardest time picking the winner. Like Willy said each boat is unique, and they each showcase what a little hard work, perseverance, and imagination can achieve.

I want them all! However in the words of Connor McCloud " There Can Be Only One!"

MichaelP - you should consider doing a condensed version on your Chief build to be placed in the completed boat forum. You certainly did a fine job on that rig. Hopefully it is giving you many hours of enjoyment on the water.
