1995 OMC 4.3 L V-6 (43APHUB) Raw Water Pump Rebuild Kit

I have a leak in my Raw water pump and need to re build it but am having trouble finding a kit with all the parts. any help on locating a kit would be appreciated.

As a non-expert I found that your pump part number is 3858847, and using this part number I found the kit below by searching on "OMC 3858847 kit". Came back with several.

I have always just replaced the whole pump.

Bruce, why replace the whole pump when you can rebuild for 1/4 the cost. theres nothing wrong with the pump housing itself

The main question is can you do a reliable rebuild on these. From what I had learned years ago is that you couldn't. Will be interested to see how your rebuild goes though. I have almost the same pump.

I paid $254 for mine back when I replaced it

I never did it. I heard there were seal issues but this was a while back. If you do it and it works, I might try it next time.

For me, the risk was too great to save $150 and have it fail while I was on vacation.
