Jigngrub,
I hate to resurrect such an old thread, but you did such a great job that I had a couple questions. I just started a bass tracker rebuild on a 1983 tournament tx and was am planning on going for a similar look as yours. I actually lucked out and received enough vinyl from my father. He did a boat a few years ago and purchased the vinyl but decided he didn't like it so went with carpet. I am replacing the floor and front deck, but I also plan to extend the front deck and add some storage compartments. I like how you handled the wood with the epoxy resin. I would like to epoxy resin the tops and ends of the plywood for the deck as you did, but I think I may do the bottom also on the piece that will be on the floor as I do get a little water under the floor at times. My questions are, what type of epoxy resin did you use and how far does it go? I estimate I will have somewhere between 2 to 3 sheets of plywood in varying pieces by the time I'm done. Also did you put anything on the inside of your compartments? I'm going to build mine out of wood and was thinking of lining them with vinyl if I had enough left.
I'm going to trim my lids similar to yours. I noticed earlier in the thread where you added some close up pictures of you lid trim, but i appears they have been moved and no longer show up in the thread. Any way you could get those back up?
Appreciate any help you can provide.
THanks Cod
