With all of the work I've been doing and hitting the lake for the first time, I was concerned about water getting into the drive. I pulled the drain and clear clean oil drained out. If I had any water it'd show at the drain, correct? Oil floats on water.

Correct, but after running the water would show up something that looks like milk. Now your lube being clear, I take it your using something like Mobile one or Amsoil synthetic?

After a tablespoon it ought be Visible,....
