Do we have anyone out there who has done some lower unit work on 5.0 omc cobra (88') know if the clutch dog can be replaced without special tools? If so does the foward gear need to be replaced to match the clutch dog. I understand there was a modification by omc from 2 degrees to 5 degrees back in the 90's. on the gears and clutch dogs. If the foward gear is replaced is it then necessary to also change reverse gear? (Assuming it is in good shape). Thanks in advance.
