Desperate search for tecumseh #631738 , float bowl nut off a 1974 sears 3 hp iska #2I7-5854
Help.....the carburetor assembly number 631726 tecumseh carb i believe....possible carb replacement

First things first Adonesley, :welcome: to iboats. Great to have you aboard...

I did a little searching and it seem hat part is no longer available through Tecumseh. But here is one vender that says call them:

One other option is to see who actually built that carb and contact them for that part. There should be some carb numbers or even their logo on the carb. Also check some boat salvage yards and buy the entire carb for the part. If worst come to worst, You could refit the engine with another carb. But then some clever linkage setup would have to happen as well. But that IS doable as well... JMHO!

do you by chance have the model # or block # and is that # you posted the carb #. In the 60s they made a 3hp then again in 75-76 and 80. The rest were 3.5hp

for 15-18 dollars you can get a brand new carb from ebay if you can get the carb# off yours.
