Just wondering...how far does everybody here have to go to the boat ramp? There's a ramp about 10 miles away from me, but the river isn't very great there. Anything fun is a 2.5 hour drive... :(

20 minutes from the only useable ramp this time of year. In another month the ramp that is 5 minutes from my house will be usable, and at that time the boat will be launched for good. After that its forty feet from my house to the dock until October, then the boat comes out.

It is 3.5 miles to the lakes I do the majority of my boating on. There are a couple lakes closer but I do not mind driving the extra mile to this lake. This year I'm gonna spend some time chasing muskies though, For them I have Numerous options inside an hour. Other than muskie it is unusal to catch me more than 15 miles from home with the boat.

I'm 3/4 mile from our lake however I don't have a slip and must trailer the boat to and from the access ramp.

When I travel it is usually about one and a half to two hours to the NY finger lakes or Lake Ontario. I really don't mind the driving since it builds up anticipation before the day and is a good way to unwind after a day on the water.

Kevin

Two hours to Patagonia lake near Nogales, AZ. Salt water? What's that? Plenty of beach here but no ocean. :D

I drive about an hour for any of four decent lakes "nearby". Several other lakes slightly farther, and the Delta. I avoid the little round "puddle" only ten miles away because of high launch fees, way too little lake, and swarming PWC's operated by ignorant and/or intoxicated operators. I could get to salt in about two hours, if I ever decided to, but so far I have no such desire.

1-1/2 hour to the lake.
Chris Craft is on a lift there. 5 minutes to remove cover and have the boat in the water.
Weeres Pontoon is in the water. 3 minutes to remove cover and be underway.

Charles

5 min. from the river; 3 hours from the lake. Usually the boat is left at the lake for the summer, and I just have to get MY butt there! :p

About 75 feet. Boat is docked out back. Unfortunately, its just a lake. Its about 10 minutes to the closest Salt water ramp. About 60 miles to my favorite Salt Water Ramp. Luckily, we have at least 10 ramps within an hours drive. It just depends where you're heading.

Nav

10 to 25 minutes (depending on the ramp) from the Delaware River, about 1 to 1.5 hours from the Jersey Shore.
