Alpha Models Are Equipped With A Shift Cut-Out Switch, can anyone explain in detail how this switch works in relation to the ICM?
best regards

On electronic ign systems the switch applies 12 volts into the computer to cause a miss/stumble to aid in coming out of gear IN THE WATER WITH A LOAD ON THE PROP
Should not work any other time

in my case I think is GND instead 12v what it's applied or interrupted in the ICM,
am I right?

my engine is MCM 5.0 Vortec Alpha One Gen II with Thunderbolt V ignition module

I have my engine out of the boat and this cut-out switch is still connected on the boat,
to start the engine do I have to do anything with the two wires coming to this switch?

Nope,..... Just put voltage to the coil's (+) terminal for ignition, 'n voltage to the starter to spin it over,.....

It oughta run just fine, til ya remove the voltage to the coil,.....
