Hello,

First off thanks for checking out my post and maybe offering your advice on what to try next. It is a late 70 or early 80s 110 9.8 and I just did the impeller as it wasn't peeing. It has not fixed the problem so I removed the manifold cover and replaced both of the gaskets there to try and seal up the exhaust leak that is somewhat apparent. The backing plate that is between the two gaskets is not in amazing shape (could this be the issue?). It has some pitting but the gasket surfaces are still in good shape.

I motor has a distinct 'miss' as you can see from the videos and seems to be blowing exhaust...

thanks!

Sounds like a lean sneeze, try rich ending up the idle screw on the carb.

As for the lack of water from the pee tube, still looks like you're getting exhaust in the water circuit. Unless there's a hole in the water jacket, you may want to revisit the cover.

Remove the powerhead.-----Inspect plastic washer at the top of the water tube.

where is this water jacket that you speak of?

Also is the only place where exhaust crossover possible under the manifold?

thanks,
