Float setting

Hi i thought my fuel bowl was leaking on my 50hp mariner 4 cylinder 2 stroke approx 1984/1985 but it's not the fuel leak is coming from the back of the carb side when facing you when bolted to the engine ive been told as its flooding on idle and fuel is coming out its down to incorrect float height can someone tell me how to adjust it to the correct height please photo of carb attached it's a mercarb and believe it's the tiloston one

Without personal knowledge of your particular carb, maybe it isn't a float level out of spec, but a needle and seat not closing off. I would suggest installing a carb kit and that should take care of the leaking problem. JMHO!

It sounds ok for being out of the water.
Seems to be burning a bit too much oil. Are you mixing the oil?

Yes mate my whole can of oil accidentally tip into my 1/2 tank of fuel when i got distracted it should smoke less when i add more fuel to the tank so dose it sound right to you as it's running on muffs ?

leak fixed and float adjusted do you think it is idling ok lads sorry only a quick video taken after i finished tonite .

Marc c the numpty who rebuilt my carb had put the baffle in the wrong place as in my photo on this post many thanks to your post on here as i noticed it goes under the float i saw the photo of someone else's carb in your link and it help me out loads mate took me an hour to take the carb off fix the baffle and float and refit and start up 5 stars mate 👍

It was on the sea in torquay last year pulled like a train even with the float and leak problem so hopefully it be better this year and better fuel economy as well 👍.
