I never really thought about it until I read some of the other blogs, but I'm also not getting the beep tone from the engine when I turn on the key. I'm not hearing anything from the fuel pump except a click from one of the fuel pump sensors. Still no spark from the distributor either. Could this be a ignition switch problem?

Could this be a key switch problem?
Yes it could, that is why as a test it's best to try and separate the engine from the boat side to see what area you need to work on....The engine or the boats wiring system.

If you're not hearing the beep and fuel pump turn on at key up, then you seem to have lost 12 volt power somewhere along the line.
Do you see 12 volt power at the gauge?
Do all the other items at the dash seem to work?
Do you have 12 volt power at the back of the alternator at the orange wire?

I have 12 volt at the ignition switch and everything else works at the dash seems to work fine. The engine turns over fine, just no spark. I will check the power terminal at the alternator next. Another thought is the 50 amp breaker on top of the engine. I tried to reset it by pressing hard and it will not re set. A little corrosion around the breaker. Would that cause no spark, or no engine turn over too?

How do you know you have 12V, what are you using to check for it?
