I have an 1998 90 hp Evenrude outboard 4 cyl on a fish sky combo that quit starting abruptly (the starter was spinning the fly-wheel but would not fire)
I have replaced the choke solenoid and fuel pump to insure fuel supply (currently working)
I have replaced the ignition switch and had to provide a hot jumper line to the "B" battery post (currently working/starter spins the fly wheel as in the beginning but still not firing and I get a voltage reading across all ignition posts "C" "M" "I", etc...
Three of four cyl fire only if i disconnect the black/yellow wire from the power pack...
I replaced the coil on the one non firing cly and it is not firing
Up-stream of the coils is the power pack which I have ordered today.
1. If i get all four firing with the new power pack how do i correct the black/yellow wire (which may be the kill switch) ??
2. If the new power pack does not fix the issue what should i look at next to get her firing up ??
Thank you for your time!!
