Hi I live in Clearwater beach Florida and the JetSki / Boat I have had for 15 years is fresh water only ....

I live right here but why would I go out in the Gulf of Mexico to fish or cruise around the inland waterway and chill on some white sandy islands when I could go in some crummy lake ??

"Fresh water only" biggest lie on Craig's list ever ??

Common. All to common....

If that was the only lie sellers told buyers, it'd be a great day..... unfortunately, only 1 of many commonly used, deceptive ad jargons......

I see unsuspecting buyers getting taken advantage of all the time. There was this one bayliner capri with a Force L drive the boat was in beautiful condition. The engine was junked, and had been so likely for many years stored in someones garage. I had done a quote for a man that had just bought it and was bragging about what "beautiful shape it was in" . When I told him what it would take to repair the engine he was singing a different toon. After that I swear I priced the same parts for this boat about 2 more times b/c unsuspecting people kept buying it and then selling their problem off on the next guy. Seeing things like that is why I'm happy to contribute on here, and be a part of this forum maybe it will prevent some unsuspecting person from wasting their hard earned money.

Ever buy or work on a motor toy from someone that thinks tighter is better and all the bolts on everything are few foot pounds from the snapping point ?

I bought a dirt bike like that OMG dude got those bolts tight even the spark plug.

I was thinking the same as GA ... There are a lot of fresh water lakes around ... But looking at the trailer there is a good bit of rust everywhere ... The bracket holding the bunks on is completely gone .... :suspicious:

I've met guys that will not put they're boat in salt water because they are intimidated by it. Heck There are guys on the local river that their boat has only been in that river. I wouldn't be scared of a saltwater boat that was properly maintained but I would be scared of a freshwater boat that wasn't!

OK, so you go to the Gulf, others don't.

If a seller is a fisherman and he prefers to fish for largemouth, are you going to question that his boat is fresh water boat?
