The disc for the powerhead and the transom clamp for the rest, if the transom clamp isn't a replacement for a broken clamp.

In other words, you may be asking more questions.

What year is the powerhead? Decals don't work for that.

I would say powerhead is 1984 rated at 75 hp.-------Is there a date stamped on the starter ?

That's what I came up with too, Racer. But sometimes I pick the wrong up the wrong number.

The dated starter is a good way as long as it's original to the powerhead. No guarantees with Frankenmotors though.

The Transom/Swivel bracket is pre 1984 for sure, might be earlier than that as it still has the clamp screws

Post number 2 is probably close, if not dead on

Technically speaking with Merc, the cut off date/month was either June or July 1st (can't recall exactly at the moment) for the transitioning into the next model year for production... So with the starter saying 7/28/76 should still mean the original outboard engine to be an 1977 model year.

The power head appears to have been changed from Mercury to Mariner evident by the number found on the welch plug but appears to still have used some of the Mercury's original components evident by the starters date.

Don't know if it matters much but it is a 4 cylinder so which one of those numbers would be the serial number I can't seem to find nothing when I try to look those numbers up

???------Well one is the serial # of the original motor.---------The other is the serial # of the motor that the replacement powerhead came off.-----------------This stuff is the same for many , many years and parts interchange.-----------Replacement powerhead is EXACTLY the same as the original.
