Let me start by saying this site is a unbeliveable tool and this is my first post.

Some history behind my issue before we get into the details. Boat is a 2000 Crownline 202BR with 305 EFI (Throttle body Injection) with a Alpha 1 outdrive with approx 155hours total on it. The boat has been in storage for approx 8 months and was properly winterized(Oil, new filters oil&fuel/water seperator, etc.) and topped off with a full fuel tank with fuel stabilizer.

On it's first maiden voyage of the season which happened to be my first Fathers Day with my 5 month old daughter(her first trip on the boat!!) I expierenced the following frustrating event:

After approx 45+ min of flawless operation during idle to full throttle accel and decell (with a couple of start and stop of the engine in between) we expiernced what I think is a fuel starvation issue.

The boat failed to continously remain idleing or had severe difficulty even starting. I unscrewed the brand new fuel/water seperator filter which was full of fuel after i removed it (good sign) to inspect for blockage with no blockage found. I also nursed an idle along by pouring fuel directly down the throttle bodies and witnessed the follwing phenomenon. As the engine attempted to establish a continous idle the injectors were only dispersing a minimal and interupted amount of fuel. Typically in the past I have witnessed the injectors completly atomizing the fuel in a concentric cone shape this was not the case unfortunatley.
Needless to say we had to be towed back to the boat launch and my Fathers day ended on a frustrating note.
So this leads me to the following questions that I need assistance on from the professionals on here!
1)Do you concur it is a fuel issue?
2)Where shoud l I begin troubleshooting? Note: I have reviewed the following posts and I just want a logical starting place.
http://www.boatfix.com/merc/Bullet/99/99_07.pdf
http://forums.iboats.com/cgi-bin/ubb/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic;f=24;t=015221#000000

3) I have a manual but it does not show a true schematic of the fuel system. I believe there has to be another filter or screen on the output side of the fuel pump to the throttle bodies which may be obstructed or clogged?

4)As a side note the fuel pump does sound strange/differnet now after I have expierenced this issue. It's like it is not priming correctly prior to attempting to start the engine. Typically fuel pumps just give up entirely not jus get weaker all of a sudden don't they?

Any help is greatly appreciated as we have an annnual trip to Table Rock next week end and I want this issue fixed ASAP.
Appreciate everyone's assitance on helping me fix our boat.
