barvo 1 outdrive parts found behind prop????

I have a 2000 mercruiser with bravo 1 outdrive. I took the prop off for gear oil service, found these parts loose in drive behind prop. I cannot find a good exploded view of the drive to find out what they are. Maybe water pump parts?

I am looking on here for the flappers, I cannot see anything listed. Can you point me in the right direction please.

The flapper part number will be part of the engine parts diagram. You will want to have your engine serial number handy as there are several types of flappers.

Found the bellows. I Had a local marina order me new ones. I installed them. They are installed like the diagram showed. However, this weekend I went out in the bay. Anchored off an island and sat a few hours. Tried starting before dark, motor didn't rotate. Tried jump starting and tapping starter. Nothing. I got towed in thinking it was a starter issue. Got it home, bench tested the starter, tested fine. Found out the motor hydrolocked. There were some decent waves that hit the rear, but nothing larger than would have hit it with the bellows missing before I noticed. I pulled the plugs and rotated engine, cylinders #1&3 sprayed water out. This is perplexing. Also, even with it sitting overnight with water in those two cylinders, there is no sign of water in the oil. Even after running an hour. Should be a frothy mess. or at least opaque white. Any help would be appreciated. (I did pull the down pipes off again to recheck the bellows. They are in and move open, "down toward drive" when I push them with a finger.)

Ayuh,.... The Shutters,... Ya replaced the Shutters,....

The bellows are the corrugated rubber tubes the drive shaft runs through,....

I'm guessin' ya might have a problem with the starboard exhaust manifold, or more specifically, the gasket 'tween the manifold, 'n riser,...

OR... he replaced the bellows and the shutters still need to be replaced...

No No, wrong terminology. shutters replaced. Bellows are fine. I ran the hose and ran the motor for an hour. Then let it sit with the hose running for awhile to see if I could replicate the issue. Could not. I am going to PM the manifold riser seals that Bondo pointed out. I will let ya'll know about seal condition or anything weird.

Actually, you're going to remove the risers and REPLACE the riser-manifold gaskets. Closely inspect the sealing surfaces. That will entail using straight-edge or other known straight surface to ensure both the riser and manifold surfaces are perfectly flat.

If there's a rusty area that has allowed water to get by the gasket(s) you might be able to use a belt sander to carefully "mill" the surface to make it flat. If you can't, you'll need to either replace the riser, manifold or both. If they're really old, and rusty, get a manifold/riser kit.

This type of leak can destroy your engine if left over a winter or other long period of time. The small amount of water does not usually result in "milky" oil but it will cause rust in any cylinder that has water sitting in there for long enough. If it's salt water, it can damage the cyl in days.....

10/4. I am going to blow some fogging spray into the plug holes after I drain her down tonight. I will have to pull the drain plugs out of the manifolds and near the fuel pump.

After you pull the manifold drain plugs, leave the flush adapter water hose off and start the engine, let it idle for only 3 seconds or so to purge any residual water from the cyls and then immediately shut it down. Then fog the plug-holes....
