I have a Johnson 112 SPL V4. I am wanting to change out the plug and wires and once I removed the cover I noticed tape on the plug wires and spliced wires. I have searched and looked all day long for a firing order diagram or picture and a picture showing me if the plug wires and coil wires are ran the right way.

Year or model number?? I would be very surprised if it isn't 1-2-3-4 with 1 being the uppermost, 2 the next one down (on opposite bank), 3 next down & back to first side, etc.

I looked everywhere on it and I can't seem to find a tag showing me the model number. maybe I am just missing it.

so if standing at the back of the boat and motor looking toward the front, top left is 1, bottom left is 2, top right is 3, and bottom right is 4 ?

You've got them just backwards. Standing at the back of the boat, top right is 1, bottom right is 3, top left is 2, bottom left is 4. Firing order is 1-2-3-4.

just to make sure I understand

2 1
4 3

with 2 and 4 being on the passenger side and 1 and 3 being on the drivers side?

No Title

Yeah, I know, this isn't your motor. But the V-4 was made for about 100 years (more or less)
