Hi All, would love to know your thoughts on this post. So I'm a newbie and have had my "new to me" boat in the water now for almost a month. Have had power issues since day one, but wasn't sure if it was me or boat. It's the boat. Here's the list of intermittent power-related issues happening:
1) Motor stalls when accelerated from idle or trolling speeds.
2) During higher speed running, engine sometimes shuts off.
3) RPMs hesitate go up and down during low/mid speed.
4) At start-up, engine sometimes stalls in idle.
5) Engine runs for few seconds after turning off ignition.
6) Can't get engine to rev much past 3,000rpm or 20mph.
7) Sometimes when acceleration is attempted from trolling, engine revs, but but doesn't accelerate - as if prop isn't "catching", or engine is running in neutral.
New long-block was installed in 2014 by previous owner. Boat is a 2000 Crownline 180BR and I'm nearing the end of my warranty period - any thoughts?? Love to hear!! Cheers!
