I have the "small" (automotive) starter motor on this boat when I bought it this year, supposed to have the "bigger" one. I cant find a part number anywhere.
Serial number tag by starter motor says 367647
stamped on block is 4097080. neither number seems to work in a search.

Reason is, I need the right starter so I can get right bracket and stop breaking starter bolts!!
Hopefully I can drill this one out again. sigh.

the new starters are PMGR. starter could have been changed.

why do you assume it is supposed to have a direct drive starter? (the "bigger one" as you call it)

4097080 is the block casting number, your mercruiser serial number is 367647
