98' 150 Mercury XR6 keeps stalling at idle.

HELP, engine runs great at cold start, gets out of the hole so fast, runs perfect, idles great. Here's the issue after an hour of stop and go fishing the engine seems to not want to idle properly and stalls out, has a hard start to. All new plugs were installed, it seems like it's being flooded after its ran for an hour or so.

try a rebuild (kit) of mechanical fuel pump....

tha "red part" is tha way its supposes to run cold with an abundance of fuel..leaky diaphragm in mech pump won't necessarily show up so much.. as it warms it takes less and less fuel ta do right.. at runnin' temp leaky diaphragm will cause bad idle, had ta start and studder a little as throttle is applied but will straighten up at higher rpm.. its a "computer" diagnoses.. can't touch it or hear it, soooooo.

Just ordered a new fuel pump kit, hope this helps! I can it today and like normal the first half hour or so was fine, then I looked at my fuel filter and it was barley full and lots of bubbles. this was when it was having a hard idle.
