I suggest what 89retta said. If you live on a lake that is big enough to have a marina there should be plenty of boat owners. Put up an ad at the marina for help with getting to the drains. Always someone looking to make a couple bucks and some that would gladly do it for free

Here is my marina. They always seem to have trouble keeping a mechanic. We actually have a Facebook Private Group for the Marina. I might try post there.

Now a question about antifreeze. Years ago I lucked into a sale from West Marine on non toxic antifreeze that had a corrsion inhibitor. I need to buy more, probably about 6 gallons. My marina frowns on using the ethylene glycol stuff. What are you guys using? I think I have seen it posted about using RV pink with an anticorrosion additive. Starbright has a pink one that supposedly has corrosion inhibitors.

Agree, don't use ethylene glycol unless your going to capture and dispose of it correctly, that stuff kills mammals and fish.

I use air, no AF

If Af is used in a motor use the stuff that says it is for used in motors. There is stuff for water systems and other for motors

West Marine sells a -100 that is about the best you can buy with out mixing up your own. The other option is to get a few gallons of Sierra brand PG antifreeze and mix it 50/50 with water, that will give freeze protection to -26 and it has corrosion inhibitors. Cheaper too, the WM stuff is on sale for $10 a gallon by me but the Sierra (undiluted) is about $13, mixing it 50/50 brings you to $6.50 a gallon and this is much better than the -50 or -60 stuff (that is rated for BURST temp they start to get hard about zero degrees).

I find it strange that a marina of that size can't keep a good mechanic on hand. What good is a marina if they only function as a storage facility?? They must be very cheap.
