Pontoon Electrical Issue

Hello all. I have a 2006 Bentley Pontoon (200 Cruise) with a 2006 Mercury Bigfoot 60 HP, serial 1B314984. Noticed I had a damaged toggle (party lights switch). Decided to replace the switch. Due to limited access to the wiring under the "dash", I tried to access the switch terminals from the front of the dash by removing (not disconnecting) the adjacent hour meter. At the time, my engine was idling. During removal of the hour meter, the metal ring that secures same contacted both terminals on the hour meter and engine suddenly quit. Now, key accessory position supplies power to all lights. Start position produces no crank and there is no power to tilt/trim switch on shift handle. Battery at 13+ volts.

I don't have a wiring diagram so I can't be sure I'm seeing all the fuses. The ones I am able to view all check ok (continuity). Would appreciate it if a member would help me with fuse/circuit breaker locations and/or any other advice. Thank you!

Did you check the one in the smaller cable at the battery positive terminal. There may be a fuse or resettable circuit breaker located within one foot of the battery. Looking at the fuses under the engine cover does not prove they are good. Use a meter to prove one way or the other. Or just replace the fuse. They aren't budget busters.

Will examine the area around the battery area. All the fuses (6) I could previously locate in the engine compartment displayed continuity with a multimeter.
