What is this?

Can anyone tell me what the device is on the side of my boat? It’s right below the black rub rail and forward of the fresh water deck fill cap you see at the top right of the photo. Thanks.

looks like a flush port what is the back side of it connected to?

Looks like a female garden hose connector with a strainer. Maybe an alternate tank fill?

As Scott said, look at the back side. Or go for broke and hook up a hose.

Thanks guys. I’ll take a look at the other side when I get back to the boat. I suspect something to do with the fresh water system as well.

I think that's a bingo.

Yes, it is for a shore side water hook up so that when you are at a pier your potable water is running off a garden hose and not drawing from your fresh water tank.
