Removing 4.3 engine from 1995 Bayliner boat

I bought a 1995 Bayliner boat with a 4.3 engine for real cheap at an auction fully expecting that it would not have been winterized. Indeed it has not been winterized. One header is cracked and I'm pretty sure both engine heads are cracked as well. There is condensation in at least two cylinders when I took the spark plugs out. I can manually crack the engine but only a little way back and forth. I can't see any cracks on the block from the outside. I have rebuilt a few car and truck engines over the years so I'm excited to tackle this engine.

I have removed all of the upper parts and wire harnesses. I'm ready to unbolt the engine from the drive. First time I'm doing this for a boat so I need a bit of help with that. Is there a manual for my boat on how to unbolt the engine from the drive? Any help is appreciated

You shift into Fwd and unbolt the drive from the boat first
Remove all wires, controls, fuel lines,
loosen the clamps on the exaust dumps
remove the 2 rear mounting bolts and the front lags/bolts
attach lifing crane and lift up and out

From the outside and then completely remove the drive before I lift the engine? Any manual on that?

You need the correct Mercruiser manual for your boat engine and drive.

To remove drive, put throttle lever in full forward. Remove the 6 nuts holding the drive and pull the pin holding the trim rams. Twist and remove the speedometer tube from the front of the drive. Slide the drive off. Lots of videos showing this on that you tubie place.

In case you are not believing . . . The drive shaft from the outdrive is currently 'mated' into the engine coupler. The engine won't come up out of the boat unless the outdrive is removed.

I can read manuals no problem but so far I can't find the manual for my boat. I found the index here file:///C:/Users/gerhard/Downloads/Outboard%20SM%20Index.pdf but where I can now find the manual I need

manuals are for engines and drives, not the boat guessing manual 25 for the engine and manual 6 for the drive

That is a Volvo Manual, you are in the Mercruiser section so we assumed it was a Mercruiser you are working on. Use only factory manuals no 2nd hand ones as they can be inaccurate when it comes to torque specs and spacing, etc.

Correct I'm working a Mercruiser on a 1995 Bayliner boat. So where can I find the factory manuals? I'm ready to buy one once I find the right one
