Threw the skiff in the water last weekend after the weekend. As expected, battery dead. Gas from the end of last year. So go to pull start, and it starts on literally the first pull. 2 stroke engine. This has to be the first time in history this has happened. I was so surprised that I didn't dare to shut it off. No tools, no cowling. Drove a while and all seemed well. I was very pleased with myself and my 2 stroke whisperer ways. Bragged to my wife and neighbors (from a distance). Nobody cared.
So next day decide to go out again with the boy. Battery had charged from the prior days ride, and it started right up again! Remarkable. Went about 1/2 mile before the steering cable snapped. Puttered back in steering with a paddle. So there ya go.
