Hello,

I was doing a little maintainance on my 1992 Chaparral 2550SX with a 7.4 Mercruiser and I thought that I would also drain and refill the oil in my fuel pump. I could not find much information on the required oil. I have both sierra drive lube and 75w-90 gear oil in my garage. I am thinking either would work. I am leaning towards the sierra drive lube. Does anyone know for sure.

Thanks.

I believe its engine oil, however gear oil would work in a pinch

the factory manual has it.

Hey alldodge or achris you know this off the top of your head

QBhoy factory GM gen V motor with mercruiser fuel system - raw water pump drive has mechanical fuel pump on it.

In lieu of High Performance Gear Lube, you could use a 90 weight gear oil.
