Coil for 74 mercury 650

Finding the original coil for this engine is either expensive or doesn’t look much better than the old cracked one that’s on it and it’s bad. I have 3 that came off a 80 some model 90hp I hooked one up and got great fire. What’s the difference in these coils. Besides bring smaller they made the same way

Distributor motor or multi coil?

In either case, Sierra should make one.

The old distributor models had the old ugly brown plastic one. The newer ones were black with a metal case, and much smaller.

It has distributor single coil and I used one that was 1 of multi coils will this hurt anything got excellent fire

I have no idea if they are compatible.
