Cables from battery to motor 1975 Johnson 50 50ESL755

Does anyone have a picture or can tell me where the cables from the battery connect at the motor?

Red to the side of the selenoid fat posts.... the other side going to the starter

strange that drawing shows no link between the bat +12 and selenoid post ?? the selenoid +12v post is only connected to the rectifier output which is ok but what feeds strong amps to the starter via the selenoid ??

Don't think your missing anything, was my thought also, but just one found at Maxrules. The one on boatinfo shows how I would expect
I'm unable to find the exact model
