Motor won't turnover, making weird sound

Attaching a video. Basically drove it on a Saturday, no issues. Went to start it on a Saturday and this was happening. Wouldn't turn over and didn't sound right when trying to. Any thoughts? Can't get into a mechanic for a bit.

The starter is not engaging. Needs to be removed and inspected/cleaned/ and/or replaced

That's super helpful thank you. Guessing since the boat had sat for about two months since the last start it probably got gunked up?

most likely rust in the bendix. only way to know is pull the starter out and go thru it.
