I have a 1961 vintage runabout Crestliner inherited from my dad...there's a lot of memories in this boat. I have it mostly restored. It's red and white - I always wished it had fins like some of the Glastrons from this era.
Here's a question just for the heck of it...anyone here ever added a set of fins to a boat like this? Or have any tips on how to make a fiberglass set? Or may know of a place that sells them?
I might add, they could be bolted right on to the top of the side of the boat, it's nice and flat there.Screenshot_20180706-112837~2.png

It would be easy enough to make a set for it if you want to put the effort into it. Create a set from EPS foam and laminate them with epoxy. There are a lot of videos on youtube of people building foam remote control airplanes. You would probably be able to adapt the same methods to building fins for your boat.

Thanks for the info. The main thing I wonder about is being able to make them both the same (the pair) - like a mold would almost be needed. I'll do the research on YouTube 👍
